Community Safety

by Art Bayce, Committee Chair

In recent months, an increasing number of burglaries and thefts were reported. A major incident occurred at the Juana Briones Elementary School, where a window was broken to gain entry, and computers were stolen from the school library. A few days later, a second entry was made into the OH facility of the school, and specialized computer equipment for use by handicapped persons was stolen.

There were several burglaries and thefts from residences in Barron Park. Bicycles became an increasing target, especially those left in open garages. Vandalism has increased. Breakage of auto windows seemed to be a favorite pastime.

This is a bargain, so register all the the bicycles in your household. The Sub-Station is scheduled to be open to the public the following times:

Hours: Closed Sunday & Monday

Report Crimes Citizens need to call the police whenever they see crimes or suspicious events occurring. Then the police can either catch the perpetrators or if there is some suspicious activity they can be prepared to anticipate future events.
